🏆🐏 HATARI FARMING MAKES HISTORY AT THE ROYAL SHOW 2026! 🏆

The Dormer Society of South Africa is incredibly proud to congratulate Hatari Farming on a historic achievement at the 2026 Standard Bank Gold Cup Awards at the Royal Show!

🥇 SUPREME GRAND CHAMPION RAM – HE24-093

🥇 SUPREME GRAND CHAMPION EWE – DZ22-201

These prestigious Supreme Gold Cup Championship titles represent the highest and most coveted honours that can be achieved at the Royal Show!

The Supreme Gold Cup Awards are an interbreed competition between five different meat sheep breeds. Only the champion ram and champion ewe from each participating breed qualify to compete against one another for these prestigious awards, making this achievement even more remarkable.

For the first time in the history of the Dormer breed, both of these prestigious Supreme Championship titles have been awarded to Dormers at the same show!

This remarkable achievement is not only a milestone for Hatari Farming but also an incredibly proud moment for the entire Dormer industry in South Africa.

It once again demonstrates the exceptional quality, genetic progress and competitiveness of the Dormer breed at the highest level.

The Royal Show has also recognised this historic achievement with an official article — a tremendous honour and recognition for our breed!

👏 Congratulations to Marius and Jan Eksteen and the entire Hatari Farming team! Your hard work, dedication and passion for the Dormer breed have truly paid off.

🌽 Hatari Farming | Oestyd 2026 🚜

– Psalm 126:5

THROWBACK THURSDAY 🏆🐏

One of the most special moments in Hatari Farming’s journey, and undoubtedly one of the highlights of our stud breeding career, was winning the prestigious Interbreed Floating Trophy for Supreme Champion Ram on Show at the Royal Agricultural Exhibition in 2024.

It’s hard to believe that this achievement was exactly two years ago today.

Our exceptional ram, OJ (Oorlog Jr) HE22-037, stood above all breeds on the showgrounds to claim the ultimate honour – a moment of immense pride, gratitude and reward for years of dedication to genetic improvement and breeding excellence.

Achievements like these are never the result of one animal alone. They reflect the commitment, passion and hard work invested by everyone involved in the Hatari Farming program.

As we look back on this unforgettable milestone, we are reminded that success is built one generation at a time.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Hatari Farming along the way. The journey continues, and the best is yet to come.

Hatari Farming – Where passion meets precision. 💚🐏🏆
